The Platform

Built for Durable, Large-Scale Data Protection

Cloud Propeller’s backup services run on our 3rd generation backup storage platform, designed for large-scale retention, predictable behavior under load, and long-term durability. Today, the platform protects over 2 PB of client data and is built on Supermicro SuperStorage systems using 36-bay chassis, enterprise SAS drives, ZFS with double-parity RAID, and Intel® Optane™ NVMe acceleration to support backup ingest, retention, and recovery at scale. For clients that require additional resilience, protected data can also be replicated between our physical data centers onto identical backup storage systems in secondary locations.
