General Purpose Compute

Cost-efficient enterprise infrastructure designed for production workloads that require reliability and stability without next-generation performance density.

General Purpose Intel Xeon 6246R DDR4 HPE NVMe (iSCSI) 40 G Network 99.99% SLA

Enterprise-grade infrastructure, cost-optimized.

General Purpose Compute is the Cloud Propeller platform for steady-state production workloads that require consistent behavior, predictable cost, and the same operational standards as our mission-critical tier—without needing the latest CPU generation or 400G networking.

The platform is used by organizations running standard business applications, development and test environments, internal services, and production systems where the economics of each workload matter as much as the performance ceiling.

GPC is available in two consumption models. Pay As You Go delivers usage-based billing for teams that want to scale up or down without paying for unused capacity, while Dedicated Capacity reserves resources at a fixed monthly rate for workloads where budget predictability is the priority.

01 Pay As You Go

Pay As You Go — Virtual Data Center (GPC)

Enterprise cloud optimized for price-sensitive workloads with usage-based billing

General Purpose Intel Xeon 6246R DDR4 HPE NVMe (iSCSI) 40 G Network 99.99% SLA

Our 3rd generation, Pay As You Go Virtual Data Center is part of Cloud Propeller’s General Purpose Compute platform, delivering reliable, enterprise-grade infrastructure for cost-sensitive workloads, while the usage-based model allows clients to scale up or down without paying for unused capacity.

This platform runs on Intel® Xeon® Gold 6246R CPUs, DDR4 ECC memory, and HPE Alletra all-flash NVMe storage, providing strong and consistent performance for the vast majority of production use cases.

Clients are billed using a usage-based model, with resource consumption measured every 5 minutes. While invoices are issued monthly, usage is calculated with high precision, enabling modern hourly-style billing without rounding surprises.

Even in our Pay As You Go model, we design our infrastructure conservatively. We never provision any of our clusters beyond 50% utilization, ensuring ample headroom for scaling and eliminating noisy-neighbor impact.

02 Dedicated Capacity

Dedicated Capacity — Virtual Data Center (GPC)

Enterprise cloud optimized for price-sensitive workloads with reserved capacity

General Purpose Intel Xeon 6246R DDR4 HPE NVMe (iSCSI) 40 G Network 99.99% SLA

Our 3rd generation Virtual Data Center with Dedicated Capacity is part of Cloud Propeller’s General Purpose Compute platform, designed for organizations that prefer reserved capacity and predictable monthly costs for steady-state, general-purpose enterprise workloads.

This platform runs on Intel® Xeon® Gold 6246R CPUs, DDR4 ECC memory, and HPE Alletra all-flash NVMe storage, delivering reliable performance with an excellent price-to-performance balance.

In the Dedicated model, CPU, memory, and storage resources are pre-allocated and reserved for your environment and billed at a fixed monthly rate. We achieve this by never provisioning clusters beyond 50% utilization, ensuring consistent performance and eliminating noisy-neighbor concerns.

Best suited for
  • Predictable, steady-state workloads
  • Cost-conscious enterprise environments
  • Applications that do not require next-generation compute density
